LifePath Hospice has opened a new, 8,500 SF facility on the fourth floor of Tampa General Hospital’s east pavilion, which will provide short-term, round-the-clock care for individuals who have terminal illnesses and require acute medical care.
“We both believe strongly in fostering an environment that focuses on offering compassion and comfort care for patients and their loved ones at the end of life,” Andrew Molosky, president and CEO of Chapters Health System, said of the collaboration with TGH on the unit.
LifePath Hospice team members will work with patients, their families and their physicians to create an individualized care plan to offer treatment during end of life care.
“The hospice inpatient unit provides a place where patients at the end of life can receive optimal care,” continued Dr. Vincent Perron, vice president of medical affairs and associate chief medical officer of TGH. “Hospice personnel will bring expertise and a unique skill set to better care for our patients at this most difficult time.”
DeLotto is grateful for the continued construction service opportunities at Tampa General Hospital and appreciate the new client relationship built with LifePath through the completion of their newest hospice unit.
