Arts, civic, educational, or cultural 501-C3 non-profit organizations are eligible to apply. Funded projects must encourage, promote, support, or showcase any of the creative arts in Hernando County.
Online applications are available now through October 5, 2018. The program offers grants up to $500 each to support art and encourage art appreciation in Hernando County. Last year, the program supported 10 projects that engaged more than 7,000 people in the arts.
Funding for this grant program comes from the purchase of your very own “Florida State of the Arts” specialty license plates at the DMV and the generous donations of the Council’s Very Important Partners.
“Over the years, grantees have used these grants in many creative ways to educate, produce, and promote art in Hernando County,” said William “Bill” Yerrick, Council chair. “These grants are truly an investment in the community. The program helps the Council achieve its mission of encouraging, promoting and supporting all the creative arts in the county.”
