TAMPA, FLA (September 26, 2018) – Thomas Wilson, PE has joined Wade Trim as a Senior Project Manager in the firm’s Water Resources Market Segment. Based in Wade Trim’s Tampa, Florida office, he will provide technical planning, design and construction support on various water resources projects, as well as manage, train and mentor staff.
Wilson is a 35-year industry veteran who is recognized as a technical specialist on pipelines and a nationally-recognized expert in his field. Much of his career has been focused on consulting on large diameter pipeline-related projects for various municipal clients in the Tampa Bay area.
Prior to his work at Wade Trim, Wilson spent more than three decades with Greeley and Hansen, LLC, most recently as a Principal Associate. During his tenure, he served as the firm’s National Technical Specialist on Pipelines. He was the lead project engineer for the first major steel pipe water transmission main in Florida for Pinellas County Utilities and was the engineer of record and exclusive pipeline designer for the City of Tampa’s Utility Capital Improvement Program (UCAP).
Wilson has served on American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) committees to develop best practices within the industry. He has also presented several research articles to both national and statewide professional organizations such as ASCE, the American Water Works Association and the Florida Water Resources Conference, among others.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida.
