Dr. Mijic completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He also completed his residency at Michigan State University-St. John Providence Health System Hospitals, Madison Heights, Michigan. Dr. Mijic received his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Mijic is a fellowship trained shoulder and elbow orthopaedic surgeon with advanced training in shoulder and elbow replacement and arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery. He treats all types of orthopaedic injuries and degenerative conditions with a special emphasis in shoulder and elbow disorders including arthritis, rotator cuff tears, tendonitis, sports-related injuries, and fractures.
Dr. Mijic has been actively involved in advancing the field of orthopaedic surgery through orthopaedic research and education. He has authored multiple orthopaedic textbook chapters and journal articles and has presented research at several national meetings.
