DETAILS: All Hillel Academy students will participate in the unveiling a new Torah, which has been donated to the school by Murray and Sarah Fisch and family, in memory of Murray’s father, Jerry Fisch.
Due to this generous donation, Hillel Academy is providing the opportunity to fulfill the 613th Mitzvah, writing Torah. During the school year, a sofer (scribe) will visit the school to enable students, families and community members to fulfill this commandment.
Families of the students and other community members are invited to contribute by dedicating parts of the Torah and/or the Ark.
Hillel Academy is a private Jewish Community Day School, embracing the diversity, rich culture and traditions of Judaism. At Hillel, students receive a superior education enhanced by the opportunity to learn about their place in the community.
