Pinellas County, FL, September, 2018–Bridges, a unique new platform that connects people by their differences for one-to-one conversations aimed at fostering understanding on both sides, is hosting its inaugural Bridge-a-Thon on September 29, from 1-3pm Eastern.
While users around the nation can join the online conversations, Bridges co-founder Heath Fogelman will be hosting a live event at Overflow Brewing Company in downtown St. Petersburg.
“This is the first of many Bridge-a-Thons we aim to host over the next several months,” Fogelman says. “It’s our effort to become the go-to destination for safe, civil discourse about the things that so often divide us.”
“With the help of our community first, and eventually communities everywhere, Bridges will be the platform that fills that need, in a time when we’ve never needed it more.”
The goal of the event is to encourage as many people as possible to sign up at www.MakeBridges.com, reach out to as many other users as they can, and start civil dialoges about their differences in politics, religion, race, gender, sexuality, and more.
Visit www.MakeBridges.com to sign up and start connecting today. And log on September 29, from 1-3pm to join the Bridge-a-Thon.
