Sarasota County Fire Department, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office to remember 9/11

SARASOTA COUNTY – Personnel from the Sarasota County Fire Department and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office will take time to honor those individuals who lost their lives on 9/11, never forgetting their valor, service and sacrifice.
Station flags at all Sarasota County Fire Department stations will be lowered to half-mast during a moment of silence and remembrance at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Sarasota County Fire Department and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office honor guard will be present at Fire Station No. 17, 5431 Desoto Rd., Sarasota, for a brief ceremony.

WHAT: Sarasota County Fire Department and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office 9/11 remembrance.
WHY: To honor those individuals who lost their lives on 9/11.
WHEN: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
WHERE: Fire Station No. 17, 5431 Desoto Rd., Sarasota.
DETAILS: All fire stations will participate by lowering of the flag.
