Members of the community come to celebrate Party Cake Bakery’s reopening and 25 years of success

September 7, 2018 by Post

September 1, 2018 – MIAMI, FL. – Members of the community and local organizations such as the Miami Police Department came to give tribute to a long-time, family favorite; Party Cake Bakery. The grand reopening of their new bakery took place at their flagship store located at 10000 SW 56 Street in Miami, Fl.

Guests lined up to take a peek at the bakery’s expansion of their original location, which has been a staple in the community for more than two decades.

“We were so happy to be a part of such a meaningful event and that there was an overwhelming amount of support during the grand reopening and 25th anniversary ceremony,” said Mario Gutierrez, one of the events coordinators.

The event kicked off with music, raffles and an assortment of delicious pastries and other baked goods that guest could sample. Guests and family members then gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. to commemorate their legacy and longtime standing within the community.

“It’s exciting to be here for 25 years. My parents were determined to follow their dreams no matter what. Ambition is what drove them to open their first store and that same passion drives them to remain the best at what they do,” said Director of Operations, Alex Montano.

VIP and members of the press were also invited for a special tour of the new kitchen and a cake decorating demonstration in their new state-of-the-art, open style bakery.

Party Cake Bakery’s original owners Olga and Juan Montano still run the successful, family owned and operated business that was born out of a deep determination and passion. The couple opened their first location over 25 years ago, after making a life changing decision to leave their secure jobs and follow their dream.

The couple opened their flagship location, which started out as a small 1,300 square-foot bakery located in Miami’s growing west side. The early years were a struggle; Olga made cakes and assisted customers, while Juan made the baked goods. Their four boys slept behind the display cases in the early mornings as they waited for the school bus, but in time that hard work paid off.

Now Party Cake Bakery has over 10 locations, with additional locations on the way. According to Montano, even with continued expansion, they will continue to stay a family-owned business.

About Party Cake Bakery

Today Party Cake Bakery is a premier Miami bakery with ten locations, providing nearly 150 jobs in the community. The Montano family, like the business, has grown throughout the years to six kids and two grandchildren. With Olga and Juan still at the helm of the business, their story, like so many immigrants, has become an example to the family that with patience, commitment, dedication and hard work you will always accomplish your dreams.
