Heart of Gallery Tampa announces new Executive Director

September 5, 2018 by Post

TAMPA, Fla. (August 15, 2018) — Heart Gallery of Tampa, an organization that creates photographic exhibits aimed at placing foster children in permanent homes, announces Amanda Page-Zwierko as Executive Director.

As Executive Director, Page-Zwierko will ensure the fulfillment of Heart Gallery of Tampa’s mission by leading efforts in program awareness, fund development, and advocating for the Heart Gallery of Tampa on a regional level.

“The board is very excited to have someone with Amanda’s experience, compassion, and strategic vision leading the organization into the future. Our former Executive Director, Jesse Miller, put in blood, sweat, and tears to get the Heart Gallery where it is today,” said Trey Carswell, Heart Gallery Chair of Board. “We know Amanda will continue the mission of helping foster children find permanent homes.”

Heart Gallery children are three times more likely to be adopted than a child not featured in the gallery. These children represent those in foster care who need additional support in finding families. On average, 225 children and teens are available for adoption in Hillsborough County each year. The Heart Gallery creates captivating photographic exhibits with these hopeful faces in areas across the community to increase the likelihood of finding a forever family. The Heart Gallery gives them a face, a voice, and a place to shine.

“I am honored to serve our community as a compassionate and devoted leader of the Heart Gallery of Tampa by advocating for the children who are bravely waiting to find their forever family,” said Page-Zwierko. “We have an experienced and motivated team that will continue to engage the public in the welfare of our foster children.”

Prior to joining Heart Gallery of Tampa, Page-Zwierko previously served as Executive Director at Frameworks of Tampa Bay, a nonprofit organization that teaches social and emotional attitudes, values, and skills that help children effectively handle life challenges to succeed in academic, social, and professional environments.
