Katherine O’Donniley Named to the Florida Center for Community Design & Research at USF Advisory Committee

August 28, 2018 – TAMPA, FL – Trenam Law is pleased to announce that attorney Katherine O’Donniley has been named to the Florida Center for Community Design & Research at USF Advisory Committee.
The Florida Center is an interdisciplinary research center within the School of Architecture and Community Design, part of the College of Arts at the University of South Florida. It was founded in 1986 as a statewide research center to address urban and regional problems related to both natural and built environments and to provide design expertise, technical assistance, and applied research to assist Florida’s growing communities. The Florida Center has developed innovative software, provided technical assistance to over 130 communities, partnered with numerous USF institutions, as well as national thought leaders, on applied research related to urban design. The Advisory Committee works to guide the strategic initiatives of the Florida Center, support the development of future projects, grants and funding proposals, and promote and advocate the importance of great urban design and planning.
O’Donniley is senior counsel in the firm’s Real Estate and Lending Transactions practice group. O’Donniley focuses her practice in the areas of real estate, land use, alcohol beverage regulations, government advocacy and public finance. She represents clients before various local governmental bodies on issues relating to zoning, land use, local government comprehensive planning, code enforcement and alcohol beverage licensing. She is credentialed by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP).
O’Donniley currently serves on the City of Tampa’s Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency’s (CRA) Community Advisory Committee and on the Hillsborough County Affordable Housing Advisory Board. Previously, O’Donniley served as Chair of the City of Tampa’s Channel District CRA’s Community Advisory Committee. She was selected as an Up & Comer in the 40 under 40 category by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2014. O’Donniley received a J.D., cum laude, from University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.A. from Florida State University.
