
ST. PETERSURG, Fla. (Aug. 23, 2018) – B2 Communications, a St. Petersburg-based public relations agency, has welcomed a highly experienced senior account executive to its team. Beth Meccariello brings nearly 10 years of agency and corporate communications experience to her new role.
At B2, Meccariello is working with B2 clients Valley National Bank and Corporate Fitness Works on public relations initiatives, including media relations, copywriting, community relations and media training.
“Beth has a diverse skillset that helps her provide impactful communications strategy and counsel to our clients,” said Kyle Parks, principal of B2 Communications. “We’re very excited to welcome her to the team, and she is already providing great value for our clients.”
Before joining B2, Meccariello was an account director at Gaffney Bennett Public Relations in Connecticut, where she led internal and external communications campaigns for clients in the health care, insurance, energy and utility and nonprofit industries.
Meccariello also previously held two marketing/communications roles at Cigna. As a Cigna marketing consultant, she developed niche communications campaigns designed to reach clients and brokers externally and sales teams internally. She later became a communications specialist at the Fortune 500 company, focusing on employee communication and engagement strategies for Cigna’s Service Operations organization, which consists of nearly 7,000 employees across the U.S.
Meccariello is a three-time Mercury Award recipient, which honors outstanding achievement in professional communications, for her work in media relations, marketing products and services, and editorial content. She was also the recipient of the Cigna Bright Idea Award in 2014 and 2015, and was recognized as a Cigna Everyday Champion in 2014.
Meccariello received a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business administration from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, Connecticut.
