BRADENTON – Elizabeth Cordes has been appointed Established Business Program manager at the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp. (EDC), announced Sharon Hillstrom, president and chief executive officer. Through in-depth consultation and intelligence gathering, Cordes will measure, evaluate and develop strategies to increase competitiveness for established businesses in Manatee County.
“The EDC offers a robust network and sophisticated approach to help businesses in Manatee County grow, add jobs and reinvest in our community,” Hillstrom said. “While we have an aggressive outreach program to recruit businesses to Manatee County from across the nation and overseas, we know that established businesses are responsible for as much as 70 percent of job growth.”
Cordes’ role will be to cultivate strong relationships with C-level decisions makers at established businesses in targeted industries in Manatee County, connecting them to the resources and services they need to be globally competitive with their product or service.
Cordes has over 10 years of experience in the public and private sectors in Washington, D.C. and Florida. She is a graduate of State University of New York at Fredonia.
