Lakeland, FL – Watson Clinic board-certified Family Medicine specialist David J. Remmer, MD recently achieved status as a Certified Medical Examiner by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
This certification was granted to Dr. Remmer after he successfully completed comprehensive training and met the organization’s strict criteria, including the passing of a rigorous national examination. Dr. Remmer is now registered to perform mandatory medical examinations for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers.
The FMCSA is the leading federal government agency responsible for regulating and providing safety oversight of commercial motor vehicles.
Dr. Remmer received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL, and performed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, where he served as Chief Resident. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Florida Academy of Family Physicians, and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He is board-certified in Family Medicine.
