
Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI) announced today the addition of Benjamin J. Lindbloom M.D., to its group of more than 40 fellowship-trained physicians. Dr. Lindbloom is an orthopedic shoulder and elbow surgeon who specializes in fracture reconstruction as well as shoulder arthroscopy and arthroplasty.
“We are pleased to welcome such a talented physician to Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the Tampa Bay community,” says Roy Sanders, M.D., president of FOI. “Dr. Lindbloom trained as a Fellow at Florida Orthopaedic Institute where we got to know him well and are pleased that he is able to join our team permanently.”
Dr. Lindbloom completed his residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, which is described as one of the most active and substantial orthopaedic trauma training centers in the country. He is also a candidate member of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Lindbloom has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in Orthopaedic trauma surgery, tendon repair, infections, and shoulder surgery. He has also given numerous presentations on various topics including shoulder fractures and shoulder reconstructions. Dr. Lindbloom is involved with resident lectures at the University of South Florida and is part of the medical staff for Plant High School Football.
Dr. Lindbloom will begin seeing patients August 1, 2018, at the Brandon, North Tampa, South Tampa and Sun City Center offices in the Tampa Bay area.
