“The selection committee was extremely impressed with all the applications submitted!” said Andrea Bogard LeBlanc, founder of Bogati Urn Company. “Ultimately, each chosen recipient had a particular personal strength, character, experience, or contribution that set them apart. All were highly praised by their instructors, employers, or the funeral homes where they intern. It is an honor to reward them through our scholarship.”
The company established the scholarship, which will provide funeral service or mortuary science program students annually with financial awards ranging from $500 to $2,500 per school year, in February 2018 as a way to give back to the industry that has helped Bogati grow. Fittingly, the recipients are in a prime position to forge growth within their own industry, as well.
“From what we have seen through this process, the funeral and mortuary science industry has some impressive individuals up and coming,” Bogard LeBlanc said. “We are excited to see what they achieve in the future and proud to be playing a part in helping them get there.”
Applications will again be accepted in early 2019 for the next scholarship opportunity.
