SMART Receives Grant from Manatee Community Foundation

July 5, 2018 by Advice Inc.

Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy, Inc. (SMART) is pleased to announce they have received a $1548 grant from the Manatee Community Foundation. The grant will be used to fund improvements to SMART’s new website by increasing its secure donation capabilities.

“We have received fantastic feedback on the new SMART website we launched in 2017, and this year we want to revamp the way people can make donations and support our programs,” said Brandi Ezell, executive director of SMART. “Having a user-friendly donation module that is secure and keeps people on our website is great. This upgrade will allow them to donate towards general support or to a specific program, or even buy tickets to our annual fundraising event. The possibilities really are endless and that is exciting for SMART!  A huge thank-you to Manatee Community Foundation for supporting this project and making it a reality.”

Since 1998, Manatee Community Foundation has awarded more than $23 million in scholarships and grants to area non-profit organizations. Its mission is to partner with citizens to strengthen and enhance the community through philanthropy, education and service. MCF targets its support to impact the arts, human services, education, animal welfare, the environment, civic engagement, and health-related causes.
