VENICE, Fla. — Yancey Franks is celebrating his 10-year anniversary with J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp., a Venice-based commercial construction company.
Franks joined J.E. Charlotte Construction in September 2007 as a project superintendent and now acts as a senior project manager for the company. With over 35 years of experience, he has been working in construction almost his entire life.
Franks handles estimating and project management tasks as well as scheduling and managing subcontractors for J.E. Charlotte Construction’s current projects, such as Clark Road Animal Clinic in Sarasota and Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Venice.
“Yancey has been with us since the very beginning,” said Jeff Charlotte, president of J.E. Charlotte Construction. “He has superior skills in all facets of construction and is a true team member. We would not be where we are today without him.”
Franks first development with the commercial construction company in 2007 was the 32,000-square-foot Galleria office and retail space on Venice Avenue. Since then, he’s worked on various projects, including the newly completed Bayside Pet Resort & Spa in Lakewood Ranch, Plantation Golf & Country Club, Daiquiri Decks in Venice and Sarasota on Stickney Point Road and Bayside Pet Resorts in Osprey and Sarasota near the airport.
A Michigan native, Franks has worked for various companies in the construction trade and owned and operated his own contracting business in Michigan for five years.
