Crescent Communities has welcomed its first residents to the much-anticipated new apartment community, NOVEL Riverwalk by Crescent Communities. Situated along the active 2.5-mile Tampa Riverwalk, the 394-unit community offers a variety of unique views and unit types that cater to renters looking to enjoy an urban lifestyle.
Just footsteps from a variety of cultural and entertainment amenities, NOVEL Riverwalk is within the heart of what makes Tampa unique. With walkable access to the Riverwalk, Straz Center, Curtis Hixon Park, and bikeable access to Heights Public Market and Ulele, the community offers the best in luxurious living combined with the magnetic allure of the Riverwalk district.
“NOVEL Riverwalk offers a complete experience that’s the perfect place to enjoy Tampa life to the fullest,” said Jay Curran, senior managing director for Crescent Communities. “We’re extremely proud of the quality and design of the property we’re delivering at NOVEL Riverwalk, and feel like this offering, combined with the amazing location near so many local amenities, will be extremely attractive to those looking for the best of Tampa’s urban lifestyle.”
Located at 109 West Fortune Street, NOVEL Riverwalk offers luxury studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with breathtaking water and city views. Homes at NOVEL Riverwalk are available in a variety of open floor plans ranging from 528 to 1,510 square feet and feature expansive walk-in closets, designer lighting and ceiling fans, oversized windows, private balconies and full-sized washers and dryers. Homes also feature ultra-modern kitchens with quartz countertops, large kitchen islands, porcelain tiled backsplashes and GE stainless steel appliances.
Within the community, residents have access to three distinct courtyards featuring two saltwater infinity pools, cabanas, hammocks and a peaceful Zen garden, as well as an open-air skylounge and private event room boasting panoramic views of downtown. Beyond the outdoor amenities, residents have access to a pet spa and grooming station, covered bike, kayak and paddleboard storage and a 24-hour Matrix 7xi Lateral X’s fitness center with Fitness on Demand and distinct yoga and spin studios.
NOVEL Riverwalk is also home to Tampa’s newest pieces of public art, the 27-foot ‘Charley’ sculpture depicting a boat hull in tribute to Tampa Bay-native Charley Morgan and the illuminated polychrome aluminum sculpture, ‘River Shadow,’ that depicts fluid forms that roll across the top of the community. Both pieces were designed by local artist Mark Aeling of MGA Sculpture Studio in St. Petersburg. The ‘Charley’ was inspired by a racing yacht called ‘Heritage’ that was designed and built by Morgan, proprietor of Morgan yachts, for the America’s Cup in 1970. ‘River Shadow’ was created with 155 individual glowing pieces that appear to tumble down between the buildings along the parking structure surface. Committed to complementing the existing neighborhoods they become part of with innovative touches, NOVEL often incorporates public art with a local flair into its communities and has previously collaborated with Aeling.
Crescent Communities currently has 19 multifamily communities under construction or in operation across the U.S. and has been actively investing in the Tampa office and multifamily market for decades. Most recently, NOVEL announced plans to partner with The Bromley Companies to develop the residential component of the much-anticipated 22-acre mixed-use development, Midtown Tampa. Additionally, the company previously developed and sold Crescent Bayshore, Crescent Crosstown and Crescent Westshore in the Tampa Bay area.
