Complete demolition of 5-story office building at Midtown Tampa site.

Why:    

Building demolition clears the way for $500M Midtown Tampa development to move forward. Tampa’s first mixed-use, urban project, Midtown Tampa is the catalyst for an entirely new district connecting Westshore and Downtown. Construction is planned to begin in early 2019.

When:

Sunday, June 24

How:

In :30, the 5-story office building crumbles. Two Komatsu® excavators connected with 200 ft. cables will bring the building down leaving 24,000 pounds of concrete material to be crushed and repurposed for site use.
