AMI Outfitters is partnering with OluKai Premium Footwear and their Anywhere Aloha campaign, along with Kona Brewing Company’s Liquid Aloha craft beers, and Kahala’s Original Aloha tropical shirts, to bring the Hawaiian Islands to Anna Maria Island for a fundraiser called Hawaiian Pint Night on Friday, June 15th from 5pm to 8pm.
A $10 donation at the door of AMI Outfitters’ shop at 401 Pine Avenue in Anna Maria receives a stainless steel OluKai pint cup and Kona craft beer to go in it, plus a raffle ticket for an authentic Hawaiian shirt by Kahala, with 100% of the proceeds going to the local environmental non-profit, Suncoast Waterkeeper, Inc.
AMI Outfitters’ owner, Steve Traves, has been offering OluKai footwear and Kahala shirts since he launched the shop in 2012. This year, he added craft beers to his merchandise mix, including Longboard lager and Big Wave amber ale from Kona.
Suncoast Waterkeeper Executive Director Justin Bloom says, “Partnering with an outdoor sports store makes perfect sense for our organization and we’re very excited to participate.”
The mission of Suncoast Waterkeeper is to protect and restore the Florida Suncoast’s waterways through enforcement, advocacy, and environmental education, as a chapter of the worldwide Waterkeeper Alliance, the largest and fastest-growing nonprofit solely focused on clean water. Two of AMI Outfitters’ brands, Patagonia and BOTE, are partners in Waterkeeper Alliance.
Reservations for Hawaiian Pint Night are recommended due to limited space. The minimum age for guests is 21. Traves is asking for RSVPs on social media or by calling his shop at 941-254-4996 Tuesday through Sunday 9am to 5pm.
