The Madeira Beach Youth Baseball and Softball Girls All-Star softball teams for 10u, 12u and 14u are gearing up for the district and potentially state tournament. The cost for equipment, insurance, tournament fees and possible travel for the State Tournament is significant. The league can’t cover the cost of all the expenses, so the players are trying to help off-set some of the cost by having fundraisers.
On Monday, June 4th, anytime between 4pm-10pm, Texas Roadhouse, 10105 Bay Pines, St. Pete, will be hosting a benefit night for the league. Every person who dines at Texas Roadhouse with a flyer, the softball teams will get 10 percent of the food sales. The flyer can be found on the league’s Facebook page at www.facebok.com/madbeachball.
On Saturday, June 23rd from 8am-10am, there will be a Pancake Breakfast at Applebees, 7995 113th Street in Seminole. Applebees will do all the cooking, but the kids will be greeting, seating, serving and busing tables. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited. The ticket is valid for 3 pancakes, 2 sausage links, and choice of coffee, tea, juice or soda. All tickets must be sold prior to the event, there are no sales the day of. There will also be a 50/50 raffle during the breakfast.
The MBYBS League is in partnership with the city of Madeira Beach. Currently the MBYBS league offers t-ball, baseball and softball for kids ages 4-16.
The league is managed by volunteers and funded by families and businesses.
