Pillow Galleria Features Fruit Noir

May 23, 2018 by Post

Organic, farm to table, freshly produced fruits and vegetables reflect a time in the past and a time today when we have healthy and freshly selected produce on our dinner

table. This photograph shows an earthly/organic inspired space  with concrete flooring, contemporary seating in terra cotta earth tones plus wonderfully inspired wall art pieces reflecting organic and brightly colored fruits and florals.

Large and brightly colored artwork serves to reflect nature, earth, flowers, and the like. The colors are bold and magnificent…an invitation to use brights and bolds in your room. The sofa, too, is in a bright terra cotta earth tone just adding to the organic feel.
Although this may be a space in a commercial setting, it could easily translate to a residential environment. Let’s take a look at some changes which could be made for a warmer feeling. An area rug over the concrete would add additional color/texture/design and warmth to the space.
Paint is another way to create warmth to a space…how about a warm soft tone found in the paintings and the pillows to add softness.
The Asian bonsai plant on the small textural stand is a hallmark of organic. With the addition of the Fruit Noir pillow on the sofa along with additional companion pillow selections an earthy and organic space is created.
Go ahead, envision your ideas and create your own space. Remember, Love is in the details.

Trimming Adds Creative Interest
This photograph shows the second side nearing completion.

  • You are able to see the muslin backed layer, the hand stitching of each color block/muslin piece as well as the application of trimmings.
  • The trimming coordinates with that of the other piece but offers a little different design and creative interest.
Once the second side is completed, both sides go to the workroom where the sides are sewn together (by machine) along with a zipper opening and edge trim.

Next Month: Finished pillow becomes Autumn Moon.
