Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group recently received with the prestigious Golden Barrel Award from Metropolitan Ministries, an organization that cares for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the Tampa Bay area.

Metropolitan Ministries’ Gold Barrel Award is presented quarterly to a business partner which best exemplifies dedication and outstanding service to others. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group was recognized for its Cabernet Sleigh Drive, which takes place annually during the November/December holiday season. During the 2017 drive, the real estate firm collected and delivered more than seven tons of food (approximately 14,500 pounds), more than $4,000 in gift cards and cash, and more than a thousand gift items to the nonprofit organization.
In addition to the Cabernet Sleigh drive, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group participates in donation drives of furniture and household items and provides Metropolitan Ministries with in-kind gifts and volunteer support at the organization’s Tampa and Pasco County campuses throughout the year.
