SARASOTA, Fla. – Three Six Oh Public Relations, a Sarasota-based public relations agency, recently welcomed Kate Ritz as a public relations and social media coordinator and Brittany Van Voorhees as a digital media coordinator.
In their roles, Ritz and Van Voorhees will be responsible for coordinating public relations activities as well as assisting with social media management.
Ritz brings a strong understanding of written and verbal communication after recently completing her bachelor’s degree in professional and technical communication at the University of South Florida. Prior to joining the Three Six Oh PR team, she was a contributing writer for Gravitas Magazine and spent time interning at Clickbooth in its public relations department, where she created blog posts, maintained social media accounts and drafted press releases.
“Brittany and Kate bring diverse experience to our team in the areas of digital and social media and writing,” said Candice McElyea, owner and president of Three Six Oh PR. “The two will assist our local clients and growing national client roster in California, Colorado, Illinois and Georgia.”
Van Voorhees comes to the firm with a high level of knowledge in traditional media as well as new media, which is accredited to her time spent as a television meteorologist and news anchor. She previously worked in broadcast media in Gainesville, Fla. and Myrtle Beach, S.C. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in telecommunication with a certificate in climatology and meteorology from the University of Florida and later received her master’s degree in applied meteorology from Mississippi State University.
