
Sarasota Orthopedic Associates is pleased to welcome Ashot Kotcharian, MD to the #1 choice for orthopedic care in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Dr Kotcharian is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a specialty in Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine and Pain Management. He joins SOA after serving as Assistant Fellowship Director at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation department.
Dr Kotcharian is skilled in interventional therapies for spine disease and sports injuries. He is an expert at both diagnostic and interventional fluoroscopic-guided spinal procedures including steroid injections, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency denervation.
Active in the sport of martial arts since his youth, Dr Kotcharian continues to practice Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Karate. He has proudly accomplished the highest, most difficult level of 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. Dr Kotcharian is fluent in multiple languages including Russian and Spanish and when time allows he is enjoys a game of chess, reading, meditation, exercise, and painting.
Dr Kotcharian joins the mission of Sarasota Orthopedic Associates in getting patients back on their feet, back to work, back in the game, and back to life.
