LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Neal Communities, southwest Florida’s premier, private homebuilder, recently welcomed Christine McKelvey as a marketing manager and Lara Bommersheim as a marketing coordinator in its Lakewood Ranch office.
In their new roles, the duo will support the vice president of marketing, assist with the execution of marketing plans and programs, participate in the development of strategies and help develop marketing materials, such as ad campaigns, press releases, e-blast campaigns and direct-mail campaigns.
McKelvey brings 17 years of experience in marketing, brand management and strategy to the builder. Prior to joining Neal Communities, she served as the marketing and art department manager for a national signage company and supported its retail, e-commerce and dealer segments. McKelvey also developed brand standards for use across multiple digital and traditional media outlets, created and managed a comprehensive marketing budget exceeding $1.5 million and developed a team responsible for trade shows, email, social media campaigns and marketing collateral to support its sales team.
During her 15 years with the company, she was promoted three times from her original position as its advertising coordinator. McKelvey also has experience as a media planner.
She earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in business studies from Geneseo State University in New York.
Bommersheim joins Neal Communities with five years of marketing experience. Most recently, she was the director of marketing for a Medicare-certified home care agency with 15 locations throughout Florida. During her time there, she handled the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies and communications for the company’s external and internal audiences.
Bommersheim has also held positions as a creative director and graphic designer for an international nutraceutical health and wellness company. She has worked on design and marketing projects for Amnesty International, UCLA, Shout!Factory, Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust and Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
She received her bachelor’s degree in visual communication and graphic design from California State University in Northridge, Calif.
