
Recent Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) graduate Kenith Christian, of Land O’ Lakes, was awarded gold in the Related Technical Math category of the SkillsUSA Florida State Leadership and Skills competition in April, in Pensacola. Christian will compete at SkillsUSA National competition in Louisville, June 24 through 29, 2018.
The following PHSC students also were recognized at the SkillsUSA state competition held in April:
Bronze Medal Winners— Duniesqui Rodriguez in Architectural Drafting category andKaren Becker in Customer Service category.
Silver Medal Winners— Jordan Rucker in Customer Service category and Dwight Howard in Technical Drafting category.
PHSC student Kristen Knight was voted in as a state representative.
“Our students came out to show off their skills and they excelled across multiple disciplines. I am proud of every single one of them,” said Jessica Bennett, PHSC engineering technology instructor and SkillsUSA advisor.
