Bidders/Technical Assistance Workshop Set for June 1, 2018
St. Petersburg, FL (May 9, 2018) – Social service agencies may now apply for more than $450,000 in competitive and non-competitive grants from the City of St. Petersburg. Interested applicants must attend a mandatory Bidder’s Workshop scheduled for June 1, 2018 at 9 a.m. in Room 100 at St. Petersburg City Hall (175 Fifth St. N.) to qualify for funding. Grant applications are due Monday, July 2, 2018 by 4 p.m. and are available online at stpete.org/social_action_funding.
Funding is limited to social service programs that provide homeless services and/or homeless prevention services. Priority for funding: homeless families with minor or dependent children; unaccompanied youth; chronic homeless individuals; intensive support systems and services for permanent supportive housing; rapid rehousing for families/individuals; emergency shelter/bridge housing for families; and prevention/diversion.
Grant awards will not be offered to agencies requesting less than $10,000 or more than $40,000. An agency can request funding for more than one program, but the total request for these competitive funds cannot exceed $40,000. Agencies must submit only one application.
Parking information for the June 1 workshop:
A limited number of free parking spaces (unmetered) are available on 5th St. N., directly in front of City Hall. In addition, a limited number of free metered parking spaces are available in Parking Lot #4 on the north side of City Hall. To qualify for free parking in Lot #4, you must park in a metered parking spot. Free parking is also available in the City of St. Petersburg Municipal Services Building Parking Garage. The entrance to this garage is on 3rd St. N., just north of Central Avenue. Please bring your parking voucher to the meeting for validation. Note: if you park in any other location please ensure you have parked legally or you may be subject to a parking violation.
