A “once in a lifetime” dining experience was recently held at the Ft. Harrison Hotel in downtown Clearwater. American Culinary Federation “Team USA” held a dinner to hone their skills for the upcoming “Culinary Olympics”. This was possible with the support of Tampa chapter members, the Ft. Harrison Hotel, their staff and participating vendors. Dinner guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner and induction ceremony of a new member of the “Chaine des Rotisseurs” – http://www.southeastchaine.org/ – southeast chapter. The evening culminated with a check for $257,000 presented to Team USA by the Tampa ACF Chapter to support the team as they practice and eventually travel to Erfurt, Germany in November to participate in the Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) known to many as the “Culinary Olympics”. At the conclusion of the evenings’ festivities Tampa ACF Chapter President shared with the guests that, “This evening is all about raising funds for Team USA so they may Go for Gold!”
