TAMPA, FL (May 4, 2018) – Environmental Pest Service (EPS), a leader in sustainable solutions for termite and pest control, and lawn care services in the Southeast, has hired experienced IT professional JR Baldwin as director of information technology (IT). He brings more than 15 years of experience delivering world-class IT infrastructure to businesses across a wide range of industries.
“We’re thrilled to welcome JR to the team,” said David Bradford, chief financial officer of EPS. “His experience and leadership skills will be a great asset to our team and will provide a strong foundation for the company as our technology platform continues to grow.”
In this role, Baldwin will oversee the use of technology for EPS and its brands, including voice over internet phone (VoIP), cloud-based services and the mobile environment. In addition, he will review and advise on new IT opportunities and work with departments and branches to roll out new solutions that improve the customer experience.
“My goal early on is to identify the data and metrics we need as an IT department to make decisions for the future,” said Baldwin. “Carrying out this plan will eventually lead to the use of technology in ways that are new for our industry. Merging technology with the services we provide and the experts we have in pest control and lawn care will create a differentiation in our brands and enhance the employee and customer experience.”
Prior to joining EPS, Baldwin served as the director of data center operations for Bigge Crane and Rigging, where he helped improve network performance at the organization’s five locations and reduced IT incidents by nearly half. In addition, he helped mature the existing IT department and improve help desk responses.
Baldwin’s previous positions include director of IT infrastructure for Integrated Supply Network (ISN), director of technical support and data center operations for Health Integrated, and UNIX system administrator for Masonite.
“EPS’s growth over the last two years has been quite impressive and is what initially attracted me to the company,” said Baldwin. “I’m excited to inject technology into all areas of business to help accelerate our expansion and maintain our position as a leader in sustainable solutions for pest control and lawn services.”
Since 2010, EPS has acquired more than 80 companies. The organization’s growth strategy is based on expanding through mergers and acquisitions, while also fostering organic growth by maintaining high levels of customer service and employee retention.
