Women’s Resource Center Recognizes Three Manatee County “Wonder Women”

May 1, 2018 by Post

Chief Melanie Bevan, Dr. Diana Greene and Dr. Teresa Rawe.

The Women’s Resource Center recognized three women who have made outstanding contributions to the Manatee County community at its 2018 Founders’ Legacy Luncheon on April 26 at the IMG Academy Golf Club in Bradenton. This year’s “Wonder Women” are Melanie Bevan, chief of police in Bradenton; Dr. Diana Greene, superintendent of the school district of Manatee County; and Dr. Teresa Rawe, the medical director of Manatee Memorial’s emergency department.

“We’re honored to celebrate these exceptional women,” says Ashley Brown, president and CEO of the Women’s Resource Center. Brown explains that Wonder Women are “women leaders who have made outstanding contributions in volunteer and/or professional activities in the areas of business, community leadership, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, or lifetime achievement.”
