Pasco-Hernando State College is offering academic career-themed summer campsdesigned for students 11-14 years of age, providing an opportunity for students to explore popular career programs offered at PHSC. Each camp will run for four half days, Monday through Thursday.
East Campus, Dade City, 36727 Blanton Road
Fire Science Camp I—June 4–7; 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This camp combines instruction with moderate, hands-on applications where campers learn various skills required of firefighters and paramedics in their careers. Fee: $110

This camp combines instruction with intense, hands-on applications where campers perform various skills required of firefighters and paramedics in their careers. Fee: $110
*Fire Science Camp II for students entering grades 9-12 only.
STEAM Forensics Camp for Girls—June 11–14; 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Working alongside Pasco County Sheriff deputies, students will use Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) to uncover clues to solve a crime. Fee: $110
West Campus, New Port Richey, 10230 Ridge Road:
Business and Technology Camp—June 18–21, 2018; 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Campers will discover cyber security detection and prevention strategies, experience the legal world through participation in a mock trial from the viewpoint of a paralegal, explore drafting and design software, and be a pilot for a day and learn about careers in aviation. Fee: $90
Photography Camp—June 18–21, 2018; 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Experience an intensive exploration of photography in the digital age, be immersed in the art and craft of still photography and introduced to the tools necessary to capture and refine great images. (Participants must bring their own digital camera to this camp.) Fee: $110
North Campus, Brooksville, 11415 Ponce de Leon Blvd.:
Code Blue Camp—June 25–28, 2018; 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Students experience hands-on in the nursing and paramedic career fields. Additionally, students will learn about patient care in emergencies and continued care in a hospital setting. At the end of the week, students will be able to experience how paramedic and nursing careers intertwine. Fee: $110
Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch, Wesley Chapel, 2727 Mansfield Blvd.:
Health Career Camp—June 25–28, 2018; 9 a.m. to noon
Campers will learn about health careers such as pharmacy technician and surgical technology, gain knowledge that will prepare them for future certification in CPR/AED procedures, and tour PHSC nursing simulation labs. Fee: $110
Photography Camp—June 25–28, 2018; 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Experience an intensive exploration of photography in the digital age, be immersed in the art and craft of still photography and introduced to the tools necessary to capture and refine great images. (Participants must bring their own digital camera to this camp.) Fee: $110
