WHO: Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts
WHAT: Spring Music Spectacular: Around the World in 90 Minutes

DETAILS: Patel Conservatory’s music department will take the audience around the world for a night of multi-cultural music-making. This diverse concert will feature performances by Chamber String ensembles, Vocal Arts Choirs, Suzuki Violin students, Young Singer’s Chorus, Homeschool music classes, and the Jazz Band.
Among the repertoire will be an Argentinian tango, songs from Scotland, Russia, Korea, Germany, plus multiple French folk songs by both Suzuki students and singers. Additionally, collaborative numbers will be performed by string players and singers from Hillsborough County partner schools Gorrie, Philip Shore, Orange Grove, Progress Village, MacFarlane Park, Plant City and Hillel Academy. The musical journey will conclude back in the U.S. with an uplifting arrangement of “We Are the World” featuring the entire music department.
