SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – With the help of its Ambassadors – community members who have made a commitment to share the mission of Goodwill with the greater community – and shoppers, Goodwill Manasota has launched its 2018 “Thanks! I Got it at Goodwill” marketing campaign. The campaign videos and print materials feature Goodwill Ambassadors affirming their support for and dedication to the organization.
Ten local celebrities are featured in the campaign. These individuals participate in and support efforts throughout the year to help raise awareness and funds to support Goodwill’s efforts to help community members find work – or secure better jobs – through free career services and job skills training available through Goodwill’s Job Connection program.
“Our campaign uses peer recommendations to showcase our Ambassadors’ power: the power to change lives. When you see your friends, neighbors and colleagues engage with a nonprofit organization, and speak on its behalf to help raise awareness, that is extremely powerful,” said Veronica Brandon Miller, vice president of Goodwill Manasota. “Our Ambassadors are crucial in helping to raise awareness of our mission, and encouraging others in the community to donate to and shop at Goodwill so that we can create more jobs.”
“Being a part of the Goodwill marketing campaign helps others to see that I am a proud supporter of an organization that gives so much back to this community,” said Goodwill Ambassador Lee-En Chung. “I hope this will encourage others to learn more about how Goodwill is changing lives through the power of work – and to join me in lending their support to Goodwill’s efforts.”
The organization launched its campaign during an event in mid-April. For more information about Goodwill, go to experiencegoodwill.org or call (941) 355-2721.
