Office in the Park invites community to meet with Partnership staff and work in
Lykes Gaslight Square Park for a week
TAMPA (April 16, 2018) – Tampa Downtown Partnership is leaving its office space on the 21st floor of Rivergate Tower and is moving to the ground floor at the corner of Madison Street and Franklin Street in Lykes Gaslight Square Park. For the week of April 23 through the 27 from 8am until 5pm, Partnership staff will be present to meet with Downtown’s workers and residents to discuss ways to make Downtown a better place to live, work, play and learn.
“We’re inviting folks to come out of their office and talk to us about their experiences in Downtown,” said Shaun Drinkard, Senior Director of Public Programming and Operations for the Tampa Downtown Partnership. “We want to know what people love about Downtown, what they would like to see more of and what they think could use some improvement.”
The Tampa Downtown Partnership is also encouraging the community to join their Office in the Park by offering free WiFi, tables and chairs courtesy of KI Furniture, as well as hospitality features like coffee and free lunch.
“In addition to having scheduled office hours with staff, a number of our community partners like Industrious will be stopping by throughout the week to host lunch-time talks on a variety of urban topics to really foster some creative ideas,” said Drinkard. “Our goal is to come back to Rivergate Tower feeling energized with a ton of new and unconventional ideas for us to bring to the Downtown community – from events to streetscapes, I’m excited to hear what people have to say.”
Two Partnership staff members will be present in the park during normal business hours. Check the event page on Facebook for updates and announcements.
