Berman was a guest lecturer at the University of Florida College of Law Advanced Problems in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Law seminar on April 6, 2018. Steve’s hypothetical case study addressed the intersection of bankruptcy and state court creditors’ rights issues.
Steve has 28 years of experience and has focused his practice as a business bankruptcy litigator representing creditors, trustees, committees and business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in both Creditors’ Rights Law and Business Bankruptcy Law, is a member of the Florida, California and District of Columbia Bars, as well as the Federal Bar for the District of Puerto Rico and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, all California state courts, District of Columbia court, all federal courts in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the federal courts in the Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, all federal courts in the District of Puerto Rico and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Steve received his J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S. in Multinational Business Operations from Florida State University.
