Midtown Tampa store will serve as a relocation of nearby Whole Foods Market
Tampa, Fla. – (April 3, 2018) – Whole Foods Market has announced that it has signed a lease for a 48,000 square foot store, anchoring the newly unveiled Midtown Tampa project. The new store will be the largest Whole Foods Market in the Tampa area, and will serve as a relocation of the current 32,000 square foot Tampa store.
“Whole Foods Market has proudly served the Tampa community for many years,” said Juan Núñez, President of Whole Foods Market’s Florida Region. “We are excited to have the opportunity to bring a larger store to the area, allowing us to offer our customers even more ways to enjoy great food.”
Whole Foods Market Midtown Tampa will employ approximately 200 locally hired full and part time team members. Team Members from the Tampa store will have the opportunity to transfer to the Midtown Tampa store as part of this relocation.
Whole Foods Market Midtown Tampa will be located at 1001 North Dale Mabry Highway, less than one mile from the existing store located at 1548 North Dale Mabry Highway. The store is projected to open in fall of 2020. The Tampa store will close several days before the Midtown Tampa opening.
