UNITED TISSUE NETWORK ANNOUNCES HEARTS FOR MINDS: A HANDS ON, EDUCATIONAL EXPEREINCE FOR STUDENTS
On March 30, 2018, UTN is partnering with Northeast High School Health Science Career Academy to offer Hearts for Minds to their students. The program provides a unique, hands on experience opportunity with the hopes that each student walks away with a better understanding of how the human body works, but also the realization that a fulfilling career in the health industry is within their reach.
Each student will have will have the opportunity to experience a dissection lab with human tissue and can see examples of common human diseases like liver cirrhosis, smoker’s lungs, hardening of the arteries and heart disease. This experience will provide an opportunity for students to learn human anatomy and physiology that is not typically available to high school students.
We know from experience that anatomical tissue provides the best educative experience for medical science and sincerely hope this unique opportunity helps to inspire the next generation of physicians and medical professionals in our communities.
