SARASOTA, Fla., March 21, 2018 – Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary is holding a Jungle Jam musical fundraiser with four area bands along with self-guided tours for close up encounters with Big Cat Habitat’s exotic animals. Jungle Jam, along with a silent auction, will be held on Saturday, April 7, from 5:30 until 10 p.m. at the habitat, 7101 Palmer Blvd., Sarasota. General admission is $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event. A limited number of VIP tickets also are available for The Ultimate Wild Experience at $125. Funds raised for Big Cat Habitat’s Capital Fund will support the goal of $500,000 for construction of an onsite animal clinic for routine and emergency care of its exotic inhabitants and for a private habitat area for senior animals as well as other animal residents who may temporarily need a quieter space, said Kay Rosaire, Big Cat Habitat founder and executive director.
VIP ticket holders will kick off the event at a reception with wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres. “We’ll have some special animal guests like Fiona, an African fox, and some amazing surprises,” Rosaire said. “VIP ticket holders also will receive preferred concert seating.”
The silent auction will include a private plane flight with lunch for two, No Excuses fishing charter, IMG adult half-day program, McCurdy’s Laugh Basket, Asolo tickets and much more. The Jungle Jam musical lineup includes Copperhead, Mad Hatter, Booty Shaker and Maiden Cane. Main event sponsors include Big Tip Brewery, Cousano Construction Company, Gibson, Kohl, Wolff & HRIC, Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, Mower’s Inc., Nellie’s Deli, Out & About Sarasota, Strawhouse Ticketing and Studio V Productions.
General admission ticket holders are welcome to bring their own chairs, and casual safari attire is always appropriate, Rosaire said.
