In honor of its 5th anniversary, this beloved event will move from Davis Islands to the Tampa Garden Club where guests will enjoy adoptable pets, drinks, dinner, dancing and a silent auction to raise money for the homeless animals at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
TAMPA, FLA (March 19, 2018) – On Friday, April 20, 2018 the Humane Society of Tampa Bay will host the 5th Annual Island Paws event at the Tampa Garden Club from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. The sunset soiree will bring more than 500 guests to the bayside venue for adoptables, cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a silent auction to raise much-needed funds for the homeless animals at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB). Honored guests at the event will include more than 20 pets hoping to find forever homes with the animal-loving partygoers.
Island Paws, which raised more than $68,000 in 2017, has grown from an intimate party in a private home to an upscale evening open to the public and one of the Society’s signature fundraising events. The goal for this year’s party is to raise $75,000 for the homeless pets of Tampa Bay.
“We are ecstatic that this fun, casual evening by the water has become such a favorite among our supporters,” said Ornella Varchi, Special Events Manager at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. “We look forward to showcasing our life-saving programs and adoptable pets in this new venue that will allow us to reach even more people who care about animals in need.”
Top sponsors for this year’s event are the Antinori Family, PNC Wealth Management, Amy Nelson & Frank Agliano, ProfitSword, Eleanor Dvorchak, Diane Homa, John and Letitia McKibbon, Nancy and Tom Newman/Neurological Specialties, and Lance and Karen Zingale.
