March 12, 2018 – Colorado Springs, CO – Eclypses™, known for its industry leading disruptive cybersecurity MicroToken Exchange™ (MTE) software, has been named a finalist in the Global Automotive & Mobility Innovation Challenge (GMAIC). Eclypses joins 11 other innovative companies in the GMAIC World Finals, representing five countries and five U.S. States. GAMIC is an annual competition for emerging companies with new technologies that will benefit the automotive and mobility industry.
Moving on to becoming a finalist is a daunting task with little room for error. Eclypses Executive Vice President Steven Russo presented to a panel of industry judges at Walsh College in Michigan on February 23. Ten minutes was allowed for the presentation followed by five minutes of tough questioning from the judges.
“Eclypses is honored to be included in this prestigious group of innovators and tapped to go on to the finals,” said Russo. “Our team is excited to present to leaders in the automotive and mobility industries about how our patent pending MicroToken Exchange solution will stop cyber criminals and terrorists from affecting vital transportation systems – personal, commercial, and military. We are ready to win the GMAIC World Challenge.”
The criteria for moving on to the finals were based on the potential technological impact the products of the presenting companies could have on the automotive and mobility industry as well as on their business plans.
The GMAIC World Finals will be held on April 10 at SAE’s WCX World Congress in Detroit’s Cobo Center. Contestants will compete in the following four technology categories:
- Vehicle Electrification, V2X Communication and Advanced Mobility
- Advanced Materials, Sensors, Actuators and Manufacturing Processes
- Infotainment, Auto Consumer / Value Add and Value Chain / New Business Models
- New High-Value, Disruptive Technology Innovations
Historically, both previous winners and contestants have found the visibility GMAIC offers to be of great benefit to their company. Finalists experience the rare opportunity to have their innovations viewed by senior executives of OEMs and Tier 1 supplies. The wining teams from each category will receive more than $300,000 of in-kind assistance and cash to assist in moving their technologies to commercialization.
