ORLANDO, FL (January 28, 2018) – Organizers of the Orlando Music Festival, on trend to becoming one of east coast Florida’s largest music and cultural festivals, announced new additions to their line up and event series.
Latina sensation Jenn Morel, whose hit “Ponteme” has garnered over 2 million social media views, and hit music master Djakout #1 who has become world renowned for songs such as “Habitude” and “Bag LA”, have now been added to an already star studded array of performers such as Grammy Award winning international artist Wyclef Jean of the Fugees, award winning dancehall artist Konshens, Soca artist Alison Hinds, international legend/classic Reggae artist Tanto Metro/Devante and dynamic Kompa musical groups Harmonik, TVice, Klass, and Kai.
In their determination to create a stellar experience for their guests, there has been an extension of events that will begin on Friday, March 16, 2018, with the official Orlando Caribbean Festival exclusive Kickoff Party at the Enchanted Nightclub, with artists Harmonik, Klass and Kai on deck for friends in the media, as well as sponsors and invited guests.
A one of a kind Comedy Showcase, “LOL” featuring the infamous Wally British and Success JR, is slated to take place that evening with more details forthcoming. There will also be a culinary preview of some of the best Caribbean gastronomic delights with a ‘Soiree de Elites’ also taking place that evening.
Saturday, March 17, 2018, will be the main event with the Orlando Caribbean Festival beginning promptly at 3:00 pm and continuing till 11:00 pm. The evening won’t end there as there will be an Orlando Caribbean Festival After Party with headliner Konshens, as well as 5Lan and Kado featuring live Kompa performances from 12:00 am to 4:00 pm for those still in the mood to dance the night away.
The fun continues on Sunday March 18th, 2018, with a Balcony Rooftop party to cap off the weekend Caribbean style. More details and information will be released regarding these events in the coming weeks.
The OCF promises to be not only a musical extravaganza, but a cultural fusion of Caribbean food and customs unlike any other, with fun and activities for the entire family. While enjoying Fair rides, excursions food and dance contests, or swaying to everything from Soca and Kompa, to reggae and reggaetón, attendees can sample everything from Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat, to Cuban Rice and Griot. It’s undoubtedly the ultimate Island experience.
