Tampa, FL (February 8, 2018)—Want to expand your wardrobe on a budget while supporting a local nonprofit organization? Dress for Success Tampa Bay will hold its semi-annual Excess Inventory Sale from February 16-17. Proceeds will allow the organization to purchase much needed plus-size business attire and larger-size shoes as well as to help with boutique expenses.
“At Dress for Success, we simply want to give every woman an equal opportunity at affordable clothing during our inventory sale. When you shop, you are financing another woman’s wardrobe, in part, because she can come into the boutique and get a free suit. This very act is rewarding for us and our clients,” said Executive Director Katie McGill.
The Excess Inventory Sale will be held at Bayshore Baptist Church at 3111 W. Morrison Ave., South Tampa. Hours are: Friday, Feb. 16, 9a.m. to 7p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 17, 9a.m. to 3p.m. Cash is preferred, but credit cards are accepted with $25+ purchases. All sales are final; this is a child-free shopping event.
With only three employees and many volunteers, Dress for Success Tampa Bay relies on grants, donations, and fundraising events to continue offering its services locally. The nonprofit has helped more than 1,400 women in 2017 and received the WEDU “Be More Empowered” award in 2015.
Dress for Success Tampa Bay helps women return to the workplace and become economically independent. Although known primarily for providing interview attire for women, the nonprofit also provides career search and job skills assistance. The in-house Career Center assists with resume writing, mock interviews, and software training.
General donations can be made via PayPal, https://tampabay.dressforsuccess.org, and up-to-date sale information will be posted on the organization’s Facebook page, facebook.com/dressforsuccesstampabay.
