Tampa, Fla. – Sixteen-year-old Abby Forman, alumna of Hillel Academy, has created an app for her fellow Berkeley Prep students that has been accepted on the App Store.
Named Flower Sale and just in time for Valentine’s Day, the app allow students to purchase flowers for one another – with the money going to the Students Helping Students Scholarship program, via the school’s French Club.
“It was obvious from an early age that Abby had an affinity for technology and for programming in particular,” Gamson said. “At Hillel Academy, she was always challenging herself with ambitious projects. Our student-centered Makerlab classes gave her the freedom to develop skills far beyond what she could have achieved in a traditional classroom setting.”

At Hillel Academy, students receive a superior education enhanced by the opportunity to learn about their place in the community.
