DETAILS: The public is invited to this free Lunch and Learn gathering, during which participants will enjoy lunch and learn about the University Area CDC’s Prodigy Cultural Arts Program.
Prodigy is a research-based prevention and diversion program for at-risk students in grades one through 12. Through visual and performing arts training, Prodigy helps more than 3,000 students annually who reside in high-risk neighborhoods.
Now in its 17th year, Prodigy has reached more than 25,000 youth. The program touts an impressive annual savings of $160 million for the Florida juvenile justice system with 98 percent of Prodigy students reporting they have stayed out of trouble since their enrollment.

University Area CDC provides support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance.
