
Tampa, Fla. (February 7, 2018) – With the unexpected passing in December of Richard Brown, the organization’s previous CEO, the board of directors for Agency for Community Treatment Services (ACTS) announces changes in the executive leadership team.
Larry Gilley is the interim CEO for ACTS. Gilley began working with the non-profit in 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer. In that position, he provided financial oversight for the company. In his current role, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organization to include: quality of care, staff development, financial performance, business development and continuous performance improvement. Gilley has more than 30 years experience in operational management. Previous companies he has worked with manufacturing and consumer products. Gilley graduated from Michigan State University.
With Gilley moving to the interim CEO position, Beth Ann Sanders is now the Chief Financial Officer for ACTS. Sanders has worked with ACTS almost 30 years. Through the years, she has distinguished herself with the agency in many roles including financial assistant, accountant, accounting supervisor, IT director and director of finance/IT. She has been the Project Manager over several software implementations including ACTS’ accounting system, electronic health record, Learning Management System, and Human Resource Information System. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor of science in accounting, and her masters of science in management and information systems.
“Larry and Beth Ann, along with ACTS senior leadership team, continue to help inspire hope and foster recovery for those with substance abuse issues,” said Jim Jacob, ACTS Board of Director President. “We are fortunate that Richard Brown did such a good job developing talent, that our leadership can carry on the vision for the agency while the Board’s Executive Committee begins the process of understanding the evolving landscape of behavioral health and substance abuse ACTS operates in and identifying qualified candidates to consider as successor CEO to lead the organization into the future. Our Board’s goal is to thoughtfully work to identify our next CEO by sometime this summer.”
