Patel Conservatory offers arts enrichment community partnerships

February 2, 2018 by Post

Tampa, Fla. – Applications for the Straz Center’s 2018-2019 Arts Education Community Partnership Program are now available online and will be accepted through April 6.

The Straz Center seeks to provide high-quality arts enhancement programs for local schools and organizations through outreach partnerships. Each year, the Straz works with underserved area schools, service agencies and community organizations by providing performing arts education programming and tickets to shows at the Straz Center. Arts education programs may include artist visits, workshops, master classes or sequential performing arts classes.

The application process includes an online application, in-person interview and site visit. Previous partners must reapply to be considered. Selection criteria include, but are not limited to: need, application completion, demographics and geographic location.

To complete a partnership application, visit www.patelconservatory.org and click on In The Community and then Community Partners. More information is available by calling 813.222.6425 or emailing communityprograms@strazcenter.org.

The Straz Center’s Arts Education School & Community Partnerships Program is sponsored by Bloomin’ Brands and funded in part by the Saunders Foundation, The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay South Shore Council, MetLife Foundation, T.Rowe Price Foundation, Cy and Joanne Spurlino, Tampa Bay Times Fund, Triad Foundation and the J.S. Turner Family Foundation.

The accredited Patel Conservatory offers classes in dance, music and theater for students of all ages and experience levels. Each year, the Patel Conservatory and the Straz Center’s arts education programs enrich the lives of more than 70,000 students in our classrooms, on our stages and through the community.
