Calling all FDSWF Members, Parents, Grandparents, Family Members and Friends of loved ones with Down syndrome.
All across the nation, people are being united by getting a three arrow’s tattoo!
The tattoo raises Down Syndrome awareness, while showing our acceptance and support for those who have Down Syndrome. It’s three simple arrows in a row, which symbolizes the three 21st chromosomes, that cause Down Syndrome. It also represents how families are able to rise up and move forward when dealing with the challenges that come with Down Syndrome. Something about the Tattoo resonates within us and gives us a sense of unity.
Christie Collett, a member of FRIENDS Down Syndrome West Florida, has put together an event for all who love someone with Down Syndrome. Meet her March 21st on World Down Syndrome Day at Goodkarma Tattoo in St. Petersburg. Come to celebrate, advocate, and support Down Syndrome by getting your tattoo!
• Wednesday, March 21 at 12 AM – 9 PM at the Goodkarma Tattoo – 5901 54th Ave North, Saint Petersburg. The tattoo will cost $20. Don’t feel like getting inked – make a cash donation to FDSWF.
*Pictured are Melissa and Tim Minor who have already gotten their tattoos.
