All 2018 Walkathons are presented with the support of Progressive Insurance.
What to expect: It’s a family and dog-friendly atmosphere with local sponsors, food, shopping, music, crowds, four-legged friends, and extensive opportunities for vivid imagery and dynamic camera appeal. Walkathons are a 3K, noncompetitive walk.
Why: Southeastern Guide Dogs, a 501(c)3 non-profit, relies on the generosity of the community to provide extraordinary guide dogs, service dogs, and lifelong services at no charge to the visually impaired and veterans with disabilities.
****New this year! Virtual Walkathons
For those who can’t make it to a Walkathon this year, we’ve added a Virtual Walkathon experience that’s completely customized. After registering, we created personal, customizable Walkathon webpages ready to share with friends and family via email or social media. People could insert their own letter and photo or use the provided template. They chose the place, the time and day, and could walk, run, cycle, or swim their way to their selected distance. 5K, 10K, a marathon-it’s their Walkathon.
