2018 Historic Kenwood Spring Artists Studio tour
Whether you are a discerning art collector or a new art enthusiast, there’s something for everyone in this year’s Spring Artists Studio Tour, presented by the Artist Enclave of Historic Kenwood.
Good Afternoon,
Attached is a media release for Historic Kenwood Artist Enclave Studio Tour. Please promote in your individual publications. Thank you!
Historic Kenwood is nationally recognized for its charming early 1900s historic bungalows. Nestled among these architectural treasures is a unique and eclectic art colony, where skilled artisans and artists explore the joy of creation in their own home studios. In this city-designated artist enclave, you will find sculptors, painters, photographers, potters, jewelry makers and more, all creating stunning pieces of art.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18, you are invited into these studios to see more than 20 artists in their studios at work or displaying unique artwork work … and possibly find a must-have one-of-a-kind piece of art that can be your own. Artists will personally explain the process of creating their art, as well as displaying finished pieces. Studios will be open on Saturday, from (10 AM-5 PM), and Sunday (Noon-5 PM), and is free and open to the public. Look for the colorful standing whirlygigs posted outside each open studio.
Among the artists at work will be jewelry makers who transform unique accessories from found objects, interesting stones and even spin nature’s wonders such as twigs and leaves into gilded wearable art. And here is your chance to see and learn about screen printing and digital art, to learn how a linocut is created, to explore how a fine art painter is inspired, to witness artistic pottery and amazing sculptures in their creation, and to discover forms of art you never imagined.
A detailed map will be provided for those who want to walk, bike, or ride through the studio tour and can also be found and printed in advance at http://kenwoodartistenclave.org/
